Guest Accomodations

UC Merced is proud to offer new employees, visiting scholars and distinguished guests an opportunity to spend some time living on campus as the persue their mission with the University fo California's newest campus. Guest housing is located


Each unit is furnished with corporate-style furniture including a sofa, accent chair and dining room table with chairs. Bedrooms have dressers and nightstands along with a queen size bed and headboard. Other amenities include, but are not limited to the following:

Bed linens, pillows and comforters

Bath towels

Clothing hangers

Coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle

Plates, cups, silverware, pans

Toilet paper, paper towels, soap (up to 30 days)

Central air & heating


Free Parking

Television w/Amazon Fire TV Stick (must use your own account) – only available in some units

Washer & dryer – only available in some units

No rollaway beds

Accepted Payment Methods

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, cash, money orders and checks made payable to “UC Regents” with the guest’s last name noted in the memo

Payments not made online will need to be made between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the cashier's office located in the Kolligian Library and reference account number 270005-2C-70005. All payments must be submitted prior to check-in. Guests will receive the payment link in their contract once the reservation is confirmed.


For a full refund of accommodation fees, cancellations must be received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled 2 p.m. check-in time and must be requested in writing via email to Debbie Henderson at All cancellations received less than 48 hours in advance will result in a non-refundable charge of the first night's rate. If a guest arrives and decides to leave early, the accommodation fees for the unused nights will not be refunded.


Refunds may take up to 30 days to process. Payments made for a fuest housing reservation may not be transferred from one reservation to another.

Length of Stay/Date Changes

Guest Housing is meant to be used for short-term/transitional housing. Guests may not stay for more than 30 consecutive days unless otherwise approved by Hospitality Service. There is a non-refundable $150 cleaning fee added to the bill of any guest who stays for 30 consecutive days or more. Any changes to reservation dates must be requested at least 48 hours in advance of the check-in date and are subject to room availability.

Common Areas

UC Affiliates shall have the right to the use and enjoyment of all common areas (except the swimming pools, gym and racquetball courts) within the complexes to the same extent, under the same terms and conditions and subject to the same charges, if any, as other residential tenants within the complexes.

Laundry Services

Long-Term Stays - Guests with in-unit washers and dryers are responsible for the purchase of laundry supplies (i.e., detergent, dryer sheets, etc).

Short-Term Stays - Guests with no in-unit washer and dryer may use the 24-hour laundry facility on-site and can purchase a laundry card for $5.00 from the provided WASH kiosk. Guests will use personal funds to load their laundry card at the kiosk ($1.25-$1.50 to wash and $1 to dry). After hours, guests can access the laundry facility using the key located on their apartment key ring.

Parking On-Site

Guests may utilize any of the uncovered stalls on-site during their stay. If a request for parking is submitted with your reservation form, you will be assigned to a parking stall (Village Landing) or garage (Village Terrace) near your unit. You are required to provide your license plate number to prevent citation. You may not use any of the reserved spaces near the leasing offices at any time. Failure to comply may result in your vehicle being towed, which will be at the cost of the guest. If you are assigned a parking garage, please leave your garage key(s) and/or opener on the dining room table at check-out.
